In line with the Governments DfE Strategy on Sustainability and Climate Action to align with the Sustainable Development Goal 13 Climate Action.  The sustainability and climate change strategy for education states: “By 2025, all education settings will have nominated a sustainability lead and put in place a climate action plan”. This includes early years settings, schools, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and universities.

Our Pre-School Sustainability Lead is Kirstie Baker

Our Committee Sustainability Lead is Harriet Neville

At Cholsey Pre-School we have been blessed to be teaching and learning through natural means for a few years, gradually moving over from what was seen as a traditional way of teaching/learning in Early Years to a more nature based way having completed a Hygge in the Early Years accreditation. However we are aware we need to do more, which is why we are developing our Sustainability and Climate Action Plan whilst working towards creating a setting where Sustainability is embedded in Ethos, Policy and Practice, involving the children, parents/carers, committee and staff.

We look forward to sharing all updates with you in the near future.
