Working with the new SEND reforms

Our Pre-School aims to meet the needs of children with SEND by;

Working in Partnership with Parents,

Oxfordshire-Threshold-of-Needs-2021

Being outcome focused and person centered,

Being included in development planning with multi-agency working,

Using the new Oxfordshire Guidance Resource for the Identification of SEN in order to support the ‘Graduated approach’

New legislation includes being included in the “Local Offer” and working to or creating a “Education and Health Care Plan”

We understand the importance of the views and wishes of the child or young person and the child’s parents or carers. The importance of the child or young person and the child’s parents participating fully in decision making.

The need to support the child or young person and the child’s parents in order to facilitate the development of the child or young person and to help them achieve the best possible educational or other outcomes, preparing them effectively for adulthood.
